The HARDMAN’s are of German extraction, from PA by way of the Shanandoah, VA & Monongahela country, thence to upper Reedy. Thomas HARDMAN Sr. mentioned in writings indicating he was among the settlers coming here from Monongahela Valley in the early 40’s. Thomas HARDMAN & Rebecca (GOFF) HARDMAN reared 7 children: William, John, George, Sase S., James E., Drusilla & Tina, all born before the Civil War.
