My great Granfather was Amos Hawker Scott, born outside Morgantown, WV IN 1880. He owned a large farm near Morgantown, in the area called National, WV His father was Marshal Scott, born around 1840 (Monongalia Co., WV) and his father was James Scott, born around 1815 (Monongalia Co., WV). Does anyone have information on James Scott’s Father, Grandfather, etc.? I think there is a connection to earlier Scott’s in the area. They were Jacob Scott (Married Catherine Morgan, Daughter of Zackquill Morgan-founder of Morgantown), who died in 1808, Col. James Scott, born 1764 & died in Morgantown, WV in 1848 and Captain David Scott, born 1737. Captain David Scott had obtained 4000 acres from VA for his service in the Revolutionary War. I am searching for information about the Jehu Elmer MC BEE who married Ellen YOST (b. 7 June 1833, d. 8 June 1874, buried St. John’s Cemetery, Bassnettsville, Marion Co., WV). It is my undersatnding that this Jehu Elmer MC BEE immigrated from Ireland (exact place and date unknown) with his four brothers (names unknown). I am particularly interested in any information on where he was from in Ireland. The couple had 10 children, 3 of whom died in childhood and 7 of whom lived to be adults. The 7, alll apparently born in Fairview, MArion Co., WV, are 1) Jehu Elmer MC BEE (b. 6 April 1856, Fairview, Marion Co., WV, d. 21 June 1930, Fairview, Marion Co., WV, buried Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Marion Co. WV) who married Mary Ellen HENDERSON on 3 July 1881 — they had 5 children. 2) E. Cam MC BEE who married Angelene CONAWAY — they had 5 children. 3) Willard MC BEE who married ? DARLING — they had 2 children. 4) David H. “Buzz” MC BEE who married Mary Ellen HESS — they had 5 children. 5) Zana MC BEE who married Conrad TOOTHMAN — they had 6 children. 7) Hulda MC BEE who married Ashby WELLS — they had 8 children.

I am attempting to locate the gravesite of Jacob W. WARREN, b. 1854 in Dravosburg, PA, m. Harriet CUNNINGHAM (b. 1868, d. ca. 1938) in 1891 and moved to Mannington, WV in the 1890’s. I am seeking info on Cora JONES, daughter of Mary CRIM and John L STURGEON of Mannington, Marion Co., WV John L. STURGEON’s parents were the Robert STURGEONS, early settlers of Marion Co. Mary CRIM and John L. STURGEON had three daughters, Cora JONES of Greenwood, Rose GORDON of Lancaster and Gypsy LOOMAN of Ida May. His name is George Alexander Davis, born 7-3-1919 in Fairmonot, WV, Marion County to John Davis and Queen Bunton Davis. John and Queen had several children, but I don’t know all names. Some were:James “Sugarbowl” Davis, b. 1905 (Madisonville, KY, Hopkins County), d. 1977 in Fairmont. At time of death was married to Virginia.
Other siblings (don’t know birth/marriage dates/locations): Charles; Nathaniel (believe died in Fairmont); Mary (Charles Suggs) moved to Cleveland, OH about 1935-40 and assumed died there; Margaret (??
